Working at CINT
Once your proposal has been accepted, you can plan your visit to either or both CINT facilities.
Step 1: User Agreement
An authorized official from every user institution must sign a User Agreement (UPUA) before user projects can begin.
Step 2: Planning your visit
Contact the identified Lead CINT Scientist on your proposal to determine when you would like to visit, and for how long. You should also verify which CINT facility you will need access to. This could be either or both the CINT Core Facility in Albuquerque, or the CINT Gateway Facility in Los Alamos.
Step 3: User Registration
Complete the appropriate visitor request form and send to the contact at the facility you will be visiting
Visit forms:
- For US Citizens - please allow at least one week for processing
- For Foreign Nationals - please allow at least three months for processing

Step 4: Coming on-site
You will be responsible for making all travel and lodging arrangements. Once your visit has been arranged and approved, you will need to adhere to all safety and access procedures at the CINT Facilities. Your local contact or host will further inform you regarding procedures for site access and will provide you with any additional assistance while you are here.
Step 5: Safety/Training
All on-site users are required to take CINT Site Specific Training. Additional training is dependent on the length of stay and the laboratories and equipment needed. You will be notified by either your CINT host or CINT ES&H representatives for courses that will be required prior to performing operations at the facilities
After your experiment or visit is complete:
Step 1: End of experiment survey
Complete the end of experiment survey and send to the User Office.
Step 2: Publication Acknowledgement
Acknowledge the use of CINT when publishing results of research conducted in collaboration with CINT according to the language in this statement.
Step 3: Publication reporting
Report all publications resulting from work at CINT to the User Office as soon as the publication appears.
Step 4: Highlights
Contribute information on high-profile results for CINT use in annual reports, the CINT website, etc.
