CINT 6th User Workshop

The DOE Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies invites you to attend its 6th User Workshop on January 9-10, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. The workshop is open to the public; advance registration is encouraged. Please note the early registration requirements (see below) if you wish to participate in the tour of the new CINT Core Facility building.
The CINT User Workshop is an opportunity for the nanoscience community to become involved in CINT as well as to shape its future. Attendees will learn about the capabilities at the CINT Core Facility in Albuquerque and Gateway Facility in Los Alamos, as well as the latest research results from CINT Scientists and Users. A highlight of the Workshop will be Symposia on Nanowires and Membrane-Based Nanocomposites, two focused areas of particular interest to CINT and its user community. The Symposia will provide overviews of key issues as well as an opportunity for in depth discussion of these areas. Workshop plenary speakers will set the stage by discussing new results and current challenges in nanoscience integration. There will also be a CINT Poster Session at which the CINT Scientists and Users will present their research results. The Poster Session and informal interactions throughout the Workshop will enable prospective users to discuss their ideas for User Proposals and collaborations one-on-one with CINT Scientists.
Hotel
The hotel room block has been established at the Albuquerque Marriott, under the name of "CINT" for a rate of $109.00 (single occupancy) per night. To book a room, call the hotel's reservation department at 505-881-6800. The cut-off date for room reservations is, December 28th, 2007. Reservation requests after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel's prevailing rate. The Albuquerque Marriott is located at 2101 Louisiana Blvd. NE, in Albuquerque. This is a non-smoking hotel located in the heart of the restaurant and shopping district and overlooking the Sandia Mountains. Registration

Reception
A Reception will be held the evening of January 8, 2008, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Sandia Room at the Albuquerque Marriott Hotel.
Workshop Dinner
There will be an offsite dinner to be held, January 9th, 2008, at no additional cost. We will hold the dinner at The Albuquerque Balloon Museum. The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is the world's premiere facility dedicated to the art, culture, science, history, sport and spectacle of ballooning. It features one of the finest collections of ballooning equipment and memorabilia in the world. Tour
We will be offering a tour of the CINT Core facility in Albuquerque on the afternoon of Thursday, January 10th. Please be aware that this is a DOE facility and additional access restrictions may apply. Please check the box on the registration form if you are interested in attending the tour and you will be contacted by a CINT associate for additional information.
