Capabilities include:
- Electroplating, electroforming, anodizing (including nanoscale pore control and incorporation of nanoparticles), electropolishing, and electrolytic etching and corrosion, for any commonly plated metal on nearly any substrate to prepare designed surfaces for experiments or to monitor real-time dynamics in electrochemical systems.
- Adaptive Lab-scale applications as needed to user requirements in some cases
- Industrial scale preparation is available.
- Common plated materials include Ni, Cu, Ag, Au, and Sn, but a wide range of other materials can be prepared, including exotic and refractive materials.
- Nanoscale to industrial scale capability (unique to our facility).
- A wide range of electrochemical measurement methods, including femto-amp potentiostats, programmable power supplies, and coupling to microscopic
techniques including atomic force microscopy and scanning electrochemical microscopy.
