Masks now required at four Sandia sites, including New Mexico
As of Friday, June 17, the community level is now designated high for Sandia/New Mexico in Albuquerque and masks are required indoors regardless of vaccination status. Serial testing of unvaccinated employees at these sites is still in place.
Refer to Sandia’s COVID-19 Info webpage for masking guidance.
Masks are required while indoors and in the proximity of other people. Masks are not required while alone in an office or conference room. Personal masks that meet the guidance may be used. At Sandia/New Mexico, surgical masks and KN95/N95 respirators are available at the Badge Office in IPOC, at Medical (Bldg. 831), or by request from your division’s safety point of contact or manager.
Sandia protocols follow the Department of Energy’s COVID-19 Workplace Safety Plan, which is informed by the CDC.
