Alexander Cerjan is a Principal Member Of The Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. He develops local real-space methods to classify material topology across nonlinear materials, photonic crystals, and electron gases, and designs rationally engineered photonic structures that leverage symmetry, topology, and non-Hermiticity. Alexander collaborates with experimentalists to realize and characterize nanophotonic systems and quantum materials, and with theorists to further develop the underlying theoretical and computational methods.
