Prashant Padmanabhan is a Staff Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. His research interests focus on harnessing femtosecond pulses from the THz to XUV regime to uncover the dynamics of low-energy charge, vibrational, and magnetic excitations in bulk and low-dimensional quantum materials, controlling photoinduced exotic phases and phenomena, driving coherent boson squeezing, and exploiting harmonic generation to probe the symmetry and the nonlinear optical responses of novel materials.
