Ricardo Martí-Arbona is a scientist and Deputy Group Leader with MPA-CINT at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He shares responsibility for the leadership, management, strategic planning, and execution of the MPA-CINT portfolio while also serving as Division Safety and Process Coordinator for the Materials Physics and Applications Division. Ricardo's scientific expertise spans analytical and organic chemistry, biochemistry, actinide science, and advanced materials characterization, including mass spectrometry, radiochemical analysis, and structure–function studies. His work has supported research in dynamic and extreme environments, materials performance, biogenic actinide processes, and national security applications. In addition to his scientific contributions, he integrates operational rigor, safety, and compliance into high-hazard laboratory environments, bridging materials research, chemical and biological systems, high-end instrumentation, and mission execution across multidisciplinary teams.
