Yongqiang Wang is Staff Scientist and Team Leader at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Yongqiang is an expert in irradiation materials research and serves as Director of LANL's Ion Beam Materials Laboratory (IBML).
His research interests include irradiation response and mechanical stability of nanoscale structures and material systems, ion implantation enhanced synthesis and fabrication of novel nanostructures, developing new in-situ defect characterization spectroscopies such as Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy (APS) and ion irradiation, and performing coupled ion irradiation and corrosion experiments to better simulate reactor extremes.
